CODES; a way to get everyone curious

Wohoho, heads up everybody!

The K, the B and the W.
The TPLC and the like...

Check this picture out:

The device that couples the transmitter or receiver network of a radio system to space. Radio waves are used to transmit signals from a source through space. The information is received at a destination which in some cases, such as radar, can be located at the transmitting source. Thus, antennas are used for both transmission and reception. Some antenna are at half mast, not as a symbol of mourning for the dead or as a signal of distress. But it's just half mast. Waiting for signals before releasing it at full length.
The human mind is indeed complex.
The human heart is even more deceitful.
Some enjoy the half mast thrill.
I don't.

Not too good a supper

Ah yes, supper.

The almost too familiar word, brought into conversation when a group of hungry YAWAs gathered for a soccer match. Yikes, the man u won again. bad game.

And so came supper. The speedster wanted ChompChomp but King Tut said no to that. So came RK House. Why? Because the prata and drinks there are supposed to be cheap and good. How wrong....

I can't quite find a more appropriate picture than this to express my feelings after supper there.

Check this out:

Disgusted.

Let's see...and trace how I came to this conclusion and feeling.

1. King Tut, along with his comrades, settled down with much anticipation of good food. And yes, excitement grew.

2. Prata tasted good. However, it wasn't enough for the hungry one. He ordered Nasi Ayam.

3. "Exsircuser me, der raice take veri loong to cook...vanto change?... "sure, I don't mind. I'll take the bee hoon goreng. Give me extra ah!"

4. Yeap, indeed I got extra bee hoon. It was a pile...a mountain shaped. Definitely a bigger portion than the hamster's. (And we suspected more chilli as well.)

5. 5 mins into the game, King Tut's lips and nose were red. Perspiration trickled down the sideburns and almost immediately surfaced at the neck. There was no stopping it. Pores were yawning away...totally opened. Gushes of salt filled fluid rushed out.

6. His tummy started to ache.

7. He ordered ice teh peng. That kinda put out the fire.

8. "Uncle, how much?"... "WHAT?!"

9. End of story. Overly priced drink, chilli filled bee hoon with bones and chicken, tummy ache probably due to a weak stomach that reacted to the chilli.

10. Back to Porchester Ave. Winning 11 and a good time of chat.

The last portion kinda saved the night. :)

ROAR!

And I had a good healthy argument over the phone. Arguments? My win.

Quarrels? I don't get into quarrels.

Appreciate, Apologise, Advance

3 things:

1. Appreciate. Just say it.
2. Apologise. Just say it.
3. Advance. Just do it.

And I am appreciating the less happy things around me more. Am happy. Like bird.

Everyday, I'm finding more reasons to appreciate and that is just the way to go. I guess it's when you see the value in cherishing and the vested interest in doing so that would make you practice the 3As.

Training tomorrow. It's going to be another excited 3 hrs :) And I hope with all petitions backing my hopes, that mindsets would be altered, hearts lifted up and stubborn-ness removed. People who would one day grow up to be the positive turning points of other peoples' lives. Rest. Rest.

Un-Comfort-Able

Comfort is comfort no more. The taxi price hike has made it uncomfortable.

Cufflinks

Finally, putting it into use. Am both glad and happy to be using this pair of cufflinks. Very thoughtfully chosen I supposed.

Whoopido!

Focus on your eye

Nope, not talking about the Focus eyedrop. Not conducting a focus group either. I'm talking about your focus.

What is your 'focus'? Rather, what is your direction in which you're headed towards? It can be further broken down to defining your goals, purposes and even passion.

After a short conversation with a friend this afternoon, I paused and thought to myself about the words that were spoken over the phone, not by me. I was in a state of shock, perhaps disbelief. Then again, I saw it coming. I couldn't have prevented it despite the words of caution said.

"I need to ask myself why I'm still doing this...". The only answer, or rather, advice, that I can offer is to get yourself to question and recall why you started in the first place. If it was for money, then your absence is most appreciated. However, if it was about having a passion for the activity and desire to be part of the process of changing lives, then you ought to see what led your eyes off focus and get to the root of it. I am still appalled by that 3 minutes conversation.

Oh, may I always remember my focus and purpose. May I remind myself daily lest I forget and qualify myself out of the race.

Equinox

First and foremost, allow me to send my apologies to Ho. Actually planned to go for some 'relac' activities after service. But, (but but) couldn't. Well, put that on my account. Let's go for another game of soccer this sunday! This time round, let's implement the $0.50 project. I would like to see it come to pass and work in the long run. Ho, agreed?
I was given a voucher to Equinox, High Tea.

Here's what happens when you're so full and still want to squeeze more food into the stomach.
That's all I could squeeze.
Since the time I was back from Jakarta, I must say it has been an interesting and well rested weekend. In fact, it was good. And the high tea at Equinox played a role of course. From the restaurant, Singapore looked really small. SMU was easily spotted not far away. Chinatown and Clarke Quay as well. A small and busy nation. Too busy actually.
Christmas is coming, it's gonna get busier. More shopping, more wrapping, more food, more suicides too.
Anyway, you kinda can't put work off your mind. I'm not a workaholic. I mean, you don't get it done and over with and then close shop. I don't understand how people can do that. It goes on and you will have to handle it along the way. I find myself having to think through the week to come at the back of my mind so that I can be effective for 9hrs. Shouldn't that be the way?
Ha, the lazy fingers want to rest and don't want to type so hard. Monday's coming, more typing to do. Even more brain juice to squeeze.
Guess what?
I have been hearing this pretty often of late... "25 yrs old already...hahaha"
It gets sick after a while.
Next time, try this: "hey Elgin! 25 yrs old already! I will catch up! :) "

Heading home soon

Yeah, today's training was great. The Pri 2 kids appreciated our trainings and were very grateful in many ways. Short and cute as they might be, they understood what it meant to appreciate and thank others. Their short and little actions literally made my heart melt. Imagine with me, little kids with heights to probably your waist, tugging your shirt to show you their drawings.

Here are some of them:

(And one of my colleagues called me a pidowfile, goodness...)

I hope something has been sown into their hearts. So that as they grow, they too would carry values that reflect more than just wealth. Everyone of them has the potential to do well in the future. It's like a little shoot. Build it up strong while it's young, it will take root and grow with all needed firmness.

The thing that changed my mind about them was when they appreciated what was delivered during the session. They understood and saw both the relevance along with the importance of the content. That made me glad. David too.

Dinner at Noodles cafe and we didn't really try their noodles!!!

Here's the donuts fiesta back in the hotel room. $54,000rp for 1 dozen. They said I have a sweet tooth.

Donuts from J-Co. Less sweet than Krispy Kreme. Not too bad, I chose the glazed one followed by the All American Favourites (Oreos)...

Right, it's time to rest. Tomorrow? Teachers' training.

I'm excited :)

This training has changed my perspectives much.

Am glad to have been here in Jakarta.

I want to proudly announce that I went through my FIRST FOOT MASSAGE and it took place in Indo, Jakarta!

period.

That's what many of them do for a living. Push carts, along the road. Everyday. As early as 7am.

Love

I can safely call this responsibility.
At her tender age, she already sees the immediate call to meet the needs of the little one. Perhaps it's clothes, maybe it's food. But let's get closer and you will notice it's love. Take away both clothes and food, at least there's still love. Take away love, and you will find that clothes and food no longer matter.
You can argue that out. But we're humans, and we're all made to feel. So love while you may.
For those who can't wait to get hitched, don't get the wrong idea. I'm not steering in your direction. I'm talking to people who shun the responsibility of loving those they need to love.
Sometimes, it has to begin by taking ownership and having a vested interest. Hey, that's how all relationships start.
Some food for thought.
Am leaving for Jakarta early morn, catch you all on sat. morn. :)
